Not Knowing What a Tennis Serve Is

My best friend is a tennis player. Yesterday we were having a coffee and she was talking about a thing called tennis serve. I don’t know anything about tennis, or this tennis serve, so I felt stupid. Actually I didn’t know because now I know that the tennis serve is a shot to start a point and a point in tennis is the smallest subdivision of the match, the completion of which changes the score.
